Neimeth announces the appointment of Valentine Okelu as its Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer with effect from August 16, 2023.

Shareholders of the company endorsed his appointment at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) recently.
Pharm. Valentine Okelu graduated with distinction from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1994; from where he obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy and Master of Pharmacy (Pharmacology & Toxicology) degrees.
He is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School Advanced Programme and Strategic Marketing Management Programme.
He has also attended several executive programmes on marketing, strategy and management at the London Business School and the University of London.

Okelu is a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, National Association of Industrial Pharmacists of Nigeria, International Pharmaceutical Federation, Commonwealth Pharmacists Association, Strategic & Competitive Intelligence Professionals, USA and Member of the Lagos Business School Alumni Association.
He began his professional career as a medical sales representative at Rhone Poulenc Rorer/May & Baker Plc before going on to become a market development executive and later market development manager in the same organisation.
He served as Product Manager- Cardiovascular in Aventis/May & Baker Plc. Okelu went from Head, Demand Creation (Pharma) at May & Baker Nigeria Plc in 2006 to Assistant General Manager/Head, Corporate Planning & Development in 2008, before becoming General Manager/Head, Pharma Sales & Marketing in 2009. He was appointed Executive Director in September 2016.

Okelu is married with children and loves photography, tennis and music.
